Spent a wonderful day hiking the Bear Creek area. The weather was just perfect for a hike. Looking forward to a return visit in a few weeks when the Dogwoods are in bloom. Should make for some wonderful images.

Where did 2009 go? Within a blink of an eye, 2009 slipped by me and now it’s already 2010. Hopefully this year will be a good one for everyone that is reading this blog. My New Years was spent traveling around the wonderful State of Arkansas shooting photo’s. Guess I am getting old since I would prefer to do this instead of out partying. Happy New year everyone.

By 1840 the Eastern Elk were extinct due to greedy hunters. Sadly, there will never be another Eastern Elk showing us their beauty. Thanks to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the wonderful States of Colorado and Nebraska, Rocky Mountain Elk were released in Arkansas from 1981 – 1985. Thankfuly these wonderful animals now thrive in the Newton County area of Arkansas. The heard is now estimated to be around 450 now. Elk continue to slowly expand their range to the mouth of the Buffalo River. Interest in the elk increases each year.  Here is my latest captures of these beautiful animals. Young bull elk still in velvet, Boxley Valley, Arkansas.

Some of my favorite subjects to shoot are old barns and churches. These two subjects are quickly fading away. Mostly the barns. I have watched as a few barns in my home State have fallen down. So sad to see them go. On my latest travels, I ended up shooting the old church in Rushing, Arkansas. Established in 1899. These church walls have seen and heard so much during it’s years.

Looking back at the images I shot of a friends wedding in April 2009. Here is one of the bride, Kayla.

Looking

Looking to update my portfolio so I am needing models to help me out. No pay, only looking for TFCD. I will give each model a copy of the images we create so you can also use them  in your portfolio. Email me if you are interested. Only local models in the Little Rock, Arkansas area.

The blog is finally starting to take shape.

Went to Eureka Springs, Arkansas during a very hot June weekend. Temps were over 100 and being outside was miserable to say the least. Trying to find a cool place to eat was a challenge. I did take a few photo’s and here is my favorite of the weekend.

Welcome to my first blog on the internet. Here you find updates of my everyday life. Hopefully you will enjoy what I here and will come back for updates to my blog. Feel free to visit more of my photography on Zenfolio.
